Hobbies, anyone?

Soooo you know that little space that you fill out on your Facebook profile or whatever profile that says, "Hobbies"? This spot always stumps me. I mean what really counts as a hobby?

Normally the first thing that pops to my mind is ZUMBA.

Cooking.

Also this is the time I could start listing off my incredible athletic ability and how I love every sport ever known to man
wait no I don't soooooo guess I'm leaving this part blank. Only losers don't have hobbies, I mean right?

Can I still have hobbies if I don't love football and/or underwater basketweaving?

Anyway this post may only make sense to myself but THESE are some hobbies I plan to develop this summer/year. And not just to be able to put something in the "Hobby" portion of my profile, but to enrich my life.

1. PHOTOGRAPHY

2. CAKE DECORATING

3. TENNIS

4. READING... wait okay I ALREADY have this hobby for reals!

But I've gotten really good at just reading the books assigned to me as an English major and not actually reading for my own enjoyment. SO I guess I should alter #4-READING for my own enjoyment. I plan on starting with The Hunger Games.

This pleases me.

  1. I LOVE the Hunger Games series. Seriously I LOVED it!!! I also love cake decorating! I took the Wilton classes to learn how to do the basics and plan on finishing those classes. They really do teach you a lot. You should try them out! =)

  2. Yes. Wilton classes. Like 25 bucks at Michaels for once a week for 4 weeks. Three different courses for a grand total of 12 weeks/classes. As you can tell, I've scoped it out. Can we do them together? We will have to wait til I am actually going to be in town for 4 weeks at a time. SO like.... middle of August? My mom thought she's be super creative and give me an official cake decorating kit for Christmas, but so far I haven't been able to do anything with it. Now we will.

  3. You'll love cake decorating! It's so much fun. By the way, Hi! I've stalked you for a while, but now I'm saying I read your blog! And I wish I had tennis as a hobby. AND I agree with you about everything you said about reading.
